The Thailand Agriculture team and the Thailand Disasters team had the opportunity to present their projects at the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, D.C. on July 29. Leadership from NASA HQ and DEVELOP's National Program Office joined the event as well. The presentations were followed by a reception to celebrate the work of the teams.
Congratulations to Brian Woodward from the DEVELOP Fort Collins location for being selected as the DEVELOPer of the 2015 Spring Term. He was selected for demonstrating tenacity, strong leadership skills and a strong commitment to his team and their project. Congratulations, Brian!
DEVELOPers attended and presented at the ASPRS 2015 Imaging & Geospatial Technology Forum (IGTF) in Tampa, FL. DEVELOP chaired a hybrid session and panel focused on applications of NASA Earth observations.
The spring virtual poster session came to an end May 4th with Earthzine announcing the winner for best video and dialogue. Congratulations go to the Ames Navajo Nation Climate project for taking first place and to the Wise County Peru Disasters team for runners up. Watch the videos here!
DEVELOP chaired a session "Applications of NASA Earth Observations" at this year's Association of American Geographers Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL. Five projects were highlighted from the Ames, Goddard, Langley, Stennis and UGA locations.
