The NASA Langley Research Center summer project analyzed the practical applications of remote sensing. Seven research topics were investigated, which resulted in a compilation of data that suggests numerous ways remote sensing can benefit society. The imagery collected was retrieved from satellites such as the Space borne Imaging Radar-C/X-Band synthetic Aperture Radar, Landsat and TOPEX/Poseidon.
